Loughborough Pride 2025
The inaugural day of Loughborough Pride, held on Saturday 16th August 2025, was an immensely successful and memorable event.
We were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming turnout, far surpassing our initial expectations,
demonstrating the strength and unity of our community.
The event showcased a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, where attendees expressed their pride and solidarity.
The event featured a variety of engaging activities, including live entertainment such as tribute acts, talented dancers, and singers.
Additionally, there were children’s arts and crafts stations, face painting, and a lively bouncy castle, ensuring fun for all ages.
Our market area included 24 stalls representing diverse aspects of our community, including outreach organisations, as well as vendors selling food and drinks.
The majority of these stalls were so popular that they sold out quickly, reflecting the high demand and enthusiasm for the event. Overall, the day was a powerful celebration of acceptance, love, and community spirit.
At 13:00, on New Street, Pride was officially opened by Dr. Julie Bradshaw MBE, a world-record-holding open water swimmer and former Mayor of Charnwood and Loughborough Pride’s Chairman, Ashley Poucher.
